In an effort to make everyone feel safe and comfortable, the following terms of use apply in the Sewing Lounge.
1. on arrival, check in with the course instructor, this does not take long. Please show the QR code from your booking.
2. the sewing lounge has no public opening hours, courses have to be booked in advance via shop.nahtild.ch
3. courses in the sewing lounge can be attended from the age of 16. Younger persons are not admitted.
4. pets are not allowed in the sewing lounge.
5. entrance 15 minutes before the start of the course. Please leave the sewing lounge in a timely manner after the end of the course (quarter of an hour).
6. each participant has a sewing machine and tool set (scissors, rotary cutter, cutting mat, tape measure, sewing gauge, seam ripper, needle, pins, etc.) at their disposal in the studio, there are several overlock machines for shared use.
7. consumption of pattern paper and template cardboard for use on site are included in the course fee.
8. thread for overlocking and sewing can be used from those available on site. The threads remain at the course location. If you would like to continue working at home, it is best to bring your own sewing thread.
9. each participant brings the materials for their project, in particular fabric, zips, adhesive interfacing, fasteners, buttons, cords and similar. The Sewing Lounge accepts no liability for loss or damage.
10. bringing your own sewing machines or other machines is permitted, but the course instructor must be informed in advance.
11. the machines, all tools, furniture, decoration, other equipment and the property have to be handled with care.
12. participants are required to follow the instructions of the course provider and comply with the safety rules
13. the blade on the rotary cutter must always be deactivated as soon as it is not being used for cutting
14. wearing open shoes or sandals is highly discouraged for safety reasons. Closed shoes or slippers are recommended, soles are mandatory.
15. at the end of the course day/course, the workstation has to be put back in the condition in which participants found it, tools are put back in their place.
16. the use of the sewing machines and equipment is at the participant's own risk. The Sewing Lounge accepts no liability for damage to persons or property. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. In the event of injuries, accidents or damage to machines, tools, furniture, or the property, the course provider must be informed immediately.
17. Please avoid loud conversations and unnecessary noise so that all participants can concentrate on their projects with as little stress as possible. Do not play music on loudspeakers. Music/audio on headphones is permitted.
18. all participants respect the desired manner of address of the other participants and endeavour to observe chosen pronouns.
19. participants' bodies and figures are not commented on in a derogatory, negative or offensive way.
20. harassment, insults, racism, homophobia, transphobia and xenophobia are not permitted and may lead to exclusion from the course or a house ban.
21. Non-alcoholic drinks and tea are available for everyone and are included in the course price.
22. no alcohol is consumed in the sewing lounge, unless a special agreement has been made with the owner for a closed group course, this must be recorded in writing.
23. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the sewing lounge. Anyone who smokes outside is responsible for the proper disposal of stubs and other smoking materials.
24. the consumption of other drugs is not permitted in the sewing lounge.
Nählounge chez Nahtild, M. Brülisauer, reserves the right to make changes or additions to these terms of use and will inform participants in good time. In case of ambiguities, the German version of the Terms of Use applies.
